Tanzania and the Comoros enjoy cordial and fraternal retaliations which are reflected by people to people contacts. Leaders of the two countries have been interacting regularly for the purpose of strengthening the ties that bind the two nations. 

The governments of Zanzibar and Comoro are committed to improving bilateral relationships, especially in the area of education for the benefit of citizens of the both countries
In May 2016, H.E. Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein, President of Zanzibar and Chairman of Revolutionary council made a State Visit in the Union of the Comoros where he attended the inauguration ceremony of colonel Azali Assoumani Boinakheri as the country’s president. The visit reinvigorated the already strong ties and paved the way for the establishment of resident Missions on the capitals of both countries.

Tanzania and the Comoros cooperate very well in various economic and social sectors and have the potential to deepen further this cooperation in the areas of commerce, culture, education, health, fisheries, aviation, transportation and many more.
